12.20.07 “Cloverfield” trailers and general internet hype
When teaser trailers for the then-unnamed secret J.J. Abrams monster movie hit theatres before screenings of Transformers this summer it caused a massive internet sensation. Last month the official name of the film, Cloverfield, as well as a full trailer was released and buzz grew even louder. Now that the above 5-minute scene has been released on the movie’s official website, complete with intro from Abrams himself, it’s turning into a perfect climax for one of the most intense and grass-roots build-ups an original (ie: not based on a comic book) film has ever received.
12.12.07 “Dr.Love” - Bumblebeez
12.10.07 “Seven Day Fool” - Jully Black
I don’t normally go in for the R&B pop stuff, but I’ve been singing this song in the shower for a week straight. I really dig this whole Amy Winehouse vibe she’s got going on. The video is sharp and campy - and best of all my friend Sherisse is worrrrr-king it as one of the dancers. Cute.
If you like the July Black version you should listen to Etta James original it’s pretty good too. PS I can’t wait to see Cloverfield! Long live JJ Abrams
YES DVNO. Justice rock. A lot.
And for the record, hurrah for Bjork!
