I was in a pub the other day and this ad came on and I zoned in on it immediately. The server was in my ear asking what I wanted and, to my own shame, I think I maybe actually shooed her away while I stared at the TV screen. The drama! The build-up! And then… Monster? It’s for Monster?? WTF.
I was thinking Coke or Viagra or something major. That Monster could pull me in with a spot that hot is a really good sell. I sat around to see the tag line, and isn’t that pretty much the ultimate goal of any commercial? “Daybreak” is going to win a shitload come award time, I have a feeling…
