grizzly bear + grandchildren: while you wait for the others.

Grizzly Bear can do no wrong. I was lucky enough to see them live twice this summer, and both times they killed it. Words don’t do them justice.

Teaming up with Grandchildren (a.k.a. Sean Pecknold), Grizzly Bear’s latest video for “While You Wait For The Others” is basically a tour de force of influenced yet evolved images. It harkens backward while also breaking forward and just basically kicking ass. Pecknold is the brother of Fleet Foxes’ lead singer Robin Pecknold, and (amongst a whole host of great work) they’ve knocked it out of the park thrice before with three amazing vids for Fleet Foxes: “White Winter Hymnal”, “Mykonos”, and “He Doesn’t Know Why.” The WWH video is one of my total favourites of last year…

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Thanks to Kateopolis for the tip.

  1. This video fascinates me! I also loved the Fleet Foxes vids, especially Mykonos.
