Isaac Tobin is senior designer at the University of Chicago Press. That’s his title. What he really does is create book covers so succinct, so pleasing, so enticingly balanced and sparsely enigmatic, that you won’t know whether to read it or hang it on your wall.

Personally, I’d go with the latter.

Small enough to keep in your pocket so you don’t have to whip them out and advertise that you’re travelling (because nothing pisses off people on the street more than tourists), the guides go in-depth and tell you not just which hotels to stay at but which rooms to ask for.
