vodafone does cartwheels ’round the competition.

Vodafone UK has been doing some insanely good stuff lately. It also doesn’t hurt when Dame Judi Dench is narrating. When Judi tells you to do something, you do it.

This ad is a great example that there are always new, visually exciting ways to relay the simplest of messages. I also like that it’s a great example against one of my biggest pet peeves (unfortunately all too present in North American advertising) of feeling like you have to bang people over the head with the message in the first three seconds or they’ll get bored. The best messaging always shines when the audience is trusted a little.

This doesn’t make total sense until the end, and when it ends it’s lovely.
